Dude... I have seen greenday three times live. I grew up listening to them. They were awesome.. I went to the club where they got there start... the gilman in berkeley, but greendays clash cover lacked soul. It was clean and polished track, but no soul. The biggest influece of greenday was the clash..not becuase the clash were technically good...it was becuase they bought a fresh enery and emotion that music at the time lacked.

erm no. dont get me wrong, i DO like The Clash but i do still think they are a bit over rated. and how does that make Green Day sell-outs, anyway?

you are a complete twat. it was actually written by BOBBY (not Boddy, u dick) Fuller and the Bobby Fuller Four. Anyway, Green Day cover is way better, clash are over-rated

It was actually covered by Boddy Fuller in the sixties. They where one of the original American Garage Bands.
