Don't get me wrong, I love the Unicorns they're one of my favorite bands ever, but I HATE it when I hear people say "Oh yeah! Well I'd like to see you do better" in defense of someone's opinion.

Roger Ebert has never made a movie, and he's one of the most respected film critics around. You can say that for almost any respected reviewer in any publication. You're not supposed to be critiquing something on how hard it would've been to achieve that sound, or how technical the guitar solo is, but just how it sounds to you.

you're totally right a seventeen year old kid that bleeds pop punk has every right to be critical of music but to critique the production and performance you need to have some experience in one field or the other thats all, so thousands no, but make something in the art form your critical of...yes. otherwise you either just aesthetically like or dislike, id rather see someone type "the band sucks" or "this song sucks" rather then the person who wrote the song ruined it thats a bold statement

this band is a little more rough than the islands. i like one over the other better depending on my mood, but there are some clear differences, like 4 members.

they weren't going for glam? go waste someone else's time you're not in the band and how can the unicorns version of abominable snowman be better then islands' version? its the same band minus one member...and the missing member is not the person who wrote the song, plus im pretty sure some amazing musicians helped produce islands albums like arcade fire for example, so you know sell a couple of thousand albums with songs you wrote and start critiquing people
